Accessible to all casual walkers. 4 to 5 hours walking per day, in town, along canals and on good paths along the lagoon. Gentle gradients. NO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES.
5 nights in a *** family-run hotel with restaurant, a 30-minute vaporetto ride from Plaza San Marco.
(lunches – picnics at lunchtime and dinners), except picnics on days 1 and 6 and dinner on day 5.
Vaporetto Unlimited, Chorus (17 churches) and Museum (11 museums and palaces) packages are included.
Luggage storage fees at Venice station (Days 1 and 6) not included.
This tour does not include a visit to St. Mark’s Basilica, for 2 reasons: the length of the queue despite advance booking, and the fact that the visit is “on the run”, due to the density and flow of visitors. This tour is replaced by a visit to the famous Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Torcello.
